A Christmas Shed

I can picture Mason when he used to push this little wheelbarrow around.  Now, it totes a small tree.
I had this wood salvaged from old Charleston homes.  When I saw this idea on Pinterest, I knew it was a project for Mason.  He loves to build (click here.)
I have no idea what these white berries are.  We went to the town's Christmas parade and I snagged them from a tree behind a bank. (Edit:  Betty from Country Charm wrote and told me the white berries are from the 'Chinese Tallow Tree,' also called a 'Popcorn Tree.'  The berries were used to make candles.  Thank you Betty!)

This is Rob's shed.
Since it is the first thing you see when you enter our driveway, he doesn't mind that I decorate it!  At least, on the outside...

Our house does not have a garage.  When we moved here eleven years ago, this shed was one of the first things we added.  Rob loves to do wood working (tree house) and needed a place to house his tools.  Around back and below, he included a little gym.

I have a quick tutorial (here) on these copper stars...another great project to do with kids.  I used copper wire knowing that it will turn a pretty green patina.

So glad you stopped by!

I have another porch to link for the party and will post it soon!

I think I LOVE everything that you do. It is always somewhat understated but always perfectly lovely. That little wheelbarrow is precious with that small tree. We have a shed but it just doesn't quite look like yours. :)

So inviting. It says, someone who loves lives here -- creative, yet thoughtful -- a love of home but family love transcending...

Beautiful home!
I have a Chinese Tallow Tree and I believe that is what your white berries are from....I first saw the trees in Charleston, SC years ago and was told that years ago the berries were used to make candles...the tree is also referred to as a 'Popcorn Tree'...

Merry Christmas! Betty @ Country Charm

That's about the prettiest "shed" I've ever seen! It looks too nice to be called a shed. I love everything you've done to make it inviting. It's pretty enough on it's own and doesn't really need anything added though. Your row of rubber boots sitting outside is cute.

I love your shed! It has the look of a charming guest house. The boots are such a whimsical reminder of the family that lives here. It makes me want to come inside and meet the folks whose lives are happening behind those doors.
