It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!

I L.O.V.E. to decorate for Christmas!  I thought I would share with you what I am working on!
The little truck is from Hobby Lobby and was originally black.  I crackled it and spray painted it white and distressed it a bit to hold these vintage light bulbs that belonged to my grandparents!
I have a fondness for plaids and for wool throws.  This one was a recent find at a flea market extravaganza.  It was the last day, so I got it for $15...a good deal, since it is from England and has no holes!  The silver platters were all purchased for $10.  Some have initials engraved on them, which I think add to the character!
This little reindeer sits on my piano.  The funny thing is...he sits exactly like my grandfather...it even looks just like his foot!!  This is a little quirky and modern at the same time!
Some Christmas pillows are tossed around to add to the Christmas mood!
Wreaths, wreaths, and more wreaths are made with banners...for home, gifts and my store!  These are widely popular in blog land, but they are a novel idea in my little town and are selling, so I keep makin'!
This wreath was a birthday present for a friend, so I made a banner with her last name.  The banner can be removed, so I made a 'JOY' banner for her, too!
Little cones are made for the tree from old Swedish and French books to hold sweets and nuts.
The ornaments are hung...
~
It is coming along!  I will be back with more!
Merry Christmas!

I am linking this to Southern Hospitality's 'Holiday Home' Vignette Party
and to these other great parties here!  Be sure to check them out!

The cone is very cute. I also like the bulb idea. I have some in my basement and I haven't had that type of lites on a tree for years. No idea why I kept them, but now I have an idea what I can do with them.

How cute that little truck looks, carrying the lights. I have a box of those old lights somewhere, but haven't been able to find them this year. I love your plaid throw used as a tablecloth, and I also love your wreaths. You don't have an Etsy do you? I'd be buying one of those for sure! So glad to have you link up for Favorite Things again. laurie

I have been looking for months for any sort of French book at our local thrifts and can not even find a text book. Now you have given me another project to use those pages for should I ever come cross that elusive book. Meanwhile I will try cones made with music sheets.
