Early in the morning before the air is so thick you can hardly breath, we headed to a beautiful park for a picnic and to feed the geese. Parks are free, the food is simple, the air is pleasant in the early morning, and my children are easily entertained by the wildlife. Since my girls brought their dolls, it was a great time to practice manners and 'setting the table.' We still have some work to do on the table setting! 'Blunders, a Game of Manners' is a fun way to teach manners and is a simple game for even my four year old. For more fun summer things to do with your children, click here!

Oooohhh this is just darling! I used to do this with my daughter! Is that Samantha? We love American Girl dolls! I love that you brought the little dishes...they are toooo precious;)!

Ohhh...I love your pretty pink and green picnic! I can't think of a better way to spend a leisurely morning...than to picnic at the park! I was admiring your pretty pink crepe myrtle blossoms! I had that exact color of crepe myrtles at my place when I lived in south Texas. They won't grow here in Colorado. I think the photo of your little one and her doll having tea is simply adorable! Beautiful pastoral setting for a lovely little picnic - - - the Canada Geese in the background are so pretty. However, the "calling cards" they leave behind - - - - not so much!
Oh, my sweet younger Christie...I have that sweet little tea set for our grandchildren! This is such a precious memory you have to tuck away in your momma's heart.
