My oldest daughter wanted to have a Lemonade Stand to earn some extra cash.
We started researching it, making the advertisement and gathering our supplies about a month in advance.
She was determined to serve 'Freshly Squeezed' lemonade.
She also served Country Time Pink Lemonade. These pretty pink napkins came from Target last year.
We purchased the cups at Target and found these adorable {free} printables from funkytime! Thank you Sibylle...love.love.love these!
While guest posting at Little Blue Prints, I found this pink lemonade label from The Painted Home to display on the large beverage dispenser.
I found this vintage Lemonade label {here} and printed it onto a piece of small polka dot scrapbook paper. This old retail store sign advertises that the lemonade is 'Freshly Squeezed!' After squeezing over twenty lemons, she decided to sell each cup of fresh lemonade for fifty cents!
I found the lemon {free} printables from Wendolonia. I printed these in several different sizes, cut them out, and glued them to a string to make this lemon streamer.
Ashlyn sold the mix lemonade for twenty-five cents a cup. I didn't have a '2' so I glued some old bottle tops we snagged at a roadside diner.
The girls made the chain from some pretty yellow and pink scrapbook paper. This is an easy project for young kids. We made this during one of many 'black-outs' we have had during this stormy season!
I printed 'Lemonade' on some gingham paper and cut out the letters for this banner.
A little vintage schoolhouse chalkboard displays the cost.
I found the drink dispenser and the large chalkboard stand at Homegoods last year. I used chalkboard markers to paint the advertisement.
Funkytime also provides these {free} lemonade recipe cards. We followed the recipe exactly and the lemonade was perfect! Ashlyn went door to door and handed these out to promote her stand.
Since we do not live in a neighborhood, our dear friends, Steve and Tonya allowed us to come to their street and set up the stand. They found the perfect corner with lots of traffic!
Don't want to make your own Lemonade signs?
No problem. Target has several different ones in the dollar bin. Target usually has an end cap of 'Lemonade stand' supplies. This year they have a Lemonade banner, a cash box, napkins, a sign and all sorts of supplies for a stand. You gotta' love Target!
I found these cute {free} printables from the TomKat Studios.
Ashlyn sold the 'Brownie Bites' for twenty-five cents. The pink polka dot paper straws came from candochefs.
After two hours, Ashlyn made fifty-one dollars! We used the Sunkist sales tracker to determine how much she sold and the calculating profits worksheet to calculate the cost of the ingredients, materials and cost of advertising. I wanted her to calculate this to grasp the concept of running a business.
{Yes, she gets to keep all of her earnings!}
Thanks to all of you who provide {free} printables and for the great inspiration!
