I will be posting the rest of Christmas this week. This is my son's room. Family spends the night on Christmas Eve, so the room gets cleaned up and a little decor! I showed a few shots in the post, Three Pixie Lane Christmas 2011.
I LOVE Charlie Brown. This book was my husband's when he was a boy.
The Noel pillowcase came from Garnet Hill several years ago. I love to decorate for Christmas!
I found the metal sign of the old Ford F-100 at Hobby Lobby. My son LOVES trucks and this sign was the perfect size for the center of the wreath.
Lots of red and white are splashed in every room. I keep much of the red out for Valentine's Day, which is just around the corner! This red and white quilt came from Pottery Barn and was a gift from my sister a few years ago.
The vintage light bulbs were my grandmother's.
The Laundry Room...oh my goodness, I wish it could stay this clean all the time! I just can't ever seem to stay on top of it! I changed some of the colors in here by adding some red. You have to walk through this room or the bathroom to get to my son's room. My granny's old ironing board is in the right corner of the picture.
I get many questions about the sink in here. It is an 'apron' sink by Kohler. We finished this basement area years ago to add the bedroom for my son. The laundry room was in a hall closet, so we created this space, added a bathroom and the mudroom.
This 'clothesline' apron came from Sur La Table. I have an apron and dish towel love.
The jars came from Hobby Lobby. I painted the lids cherry red.
Maileg dish towel...again, it's the dish towel/apron thing...I couldn't pass this one up!
Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to my husband!

Is anyone else ready for the routine to kick in?
I seriously adore all of the touches, but the one I am totally coveting is that pick up truck with the lightbulbs. Can I get one in my size?!
ReplyDeleteBoth rooms are lovely and decorated so nicely. We are fans of trucks here too.

ReplyDeleteLove your son's room, so personalized! Love the truck with the vintage bulbs and your husband's Charlie Brown book....I really enjoy reading your blog.....
Love it all. Your son's room is adorable, love the vintage touches. Your laundry room I would die for. So cute. Thanks for sharing your talents, Karie
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your decor and special touches! So creative, fun, & vintage. I especially like your stacks of books, the top one belonging to your husband as a child. I love things like that. :) I have a few of my own, and just came across some from my Husband's childhood, this morning.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your absolutely perfect (and CLEAN and UNCLUTTERED mudroom). I love dishtowels, too! I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so I want fun items that reflect the holiday there, too.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I LOVE the Dutch door in your laundry room! Goota remember that!
ReplyDeleteI love your laundry room!~ I am a fan of the vintage Christmas and I love how you displayed your grandma's bulbs!~Ames
ReplyDeleteOur laundry spaces are similar {except yours is bigger!} and decorated similarly too. I have the same canisters with clothespins and the other holds bar soap ~ I love all of your vintage Christmas touches.
ReplyDeleteI love decorating for every season AND every holiday, but Christmas is definitely my favorite. Your decorations are so charming and made even more special by the "family" pieces.
ReplyDeleteHappy "belated" Birthday to your hubby!
Blessings,
Liz @ The Brambleberry Cottage
