Tartan and plaids offer such warmth in the fall and winter. The patterns and colors can be found in the multitudes! Prices can run high, but antique marts carry them as low as $15 for a nice throw. (Tip: Take immediately to the drycleaner!) I pinned some of my favorites above and included pictures of how I have used tartan in my home.

Love all your tartan. I noticed one blanket there that is similar to the one we carry in our old 1949 meteor. Thanks for sharing.

I am getting so jealous looking at all of these gorgeous pictures. It is Spring over here, which is always beautiful, but it also means that summer is on the way and I am not looking forward to a hot Aussie Summer! Think of me sweltering while you are snuggling under those gorgeous tartan blankets!

Christie, love the tartan. Reminds me of one my grandmother had & I now own. She was able to get the blanket from the Standard Coffee man who made deliveries every month. She used her points. It is red and blue. I need to get it out of the cedar chest & use it.
ReplyDeleteseeing your pins makes me TOTALLY want to go on an autumn picnic. doesn't that sound delightful?
ReplyDeleteso glad you came over for a visit!

ReplyDeleteHey, You have found my weakness..TARTAN. LOVE it!! Guess it's my Scottish heritage. I just bought a vintage wool tartan skirt, (made in
ReplyDeleteScotland) at GW for the material..Since the skirt didn't fit, I'll use it for decorating. Great inspirational photos.

Oh! Nothing says "cozy" to me like a good plaid!! And in Wisconsin, that's important. Jack Frost paid his 1st visit here last night. I'm not into Fall thoughts yet but your post certainly helped. LOVE your new banner too Christie. Thanks, V
