Finished product...
...that started with this. Did you see these at Hobby Lobby for $19.99 each? A bit much, I thought! I always check their clearance bin and after several weeks...there they were...under $5 each! I bought three.
I sanded the letters off and painted them in Creamy from Sherwin Williams. I sanded the corners so some of the red would show through.
Here they hang in my booth!
I was inspired by this kitchen at The Lettered Cottage. I have the same boxes as above (Marshall's), but mine hang in my shed and hold tools and supplies. BTW, I love the simple lines of this kitchen...a favorite!
Oh! I will post later about the flowers made from vintage dress patterns!
What has inspired you lately?
You did a nice job !!! love it....happy day darling....love Ria...xxx....
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea... and don't you just love it when you find a bargain like that? They look so sweet on your wall.

Those are so cute and that bottom kitchen photo gave me some fun inspiration too ... might have to see if I can snatch up some {cheap} boxes.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your post on the dress pattern flowers ... SO cute!
One more question: what did you do to attach the hangers? And what are the hangers?
ReplyDeleteThe boxes came with the hangers attached...I removed them to paint. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCute idea. And I love your stack of picnic baskets. It must be fun to have a booth.
ReplyDeleteChristie, You sure know how to "make pretty"! Everything you touch has your special style mark on it. I would love to learn how to make the pattern flowers!

Wow those are fabulous! The were cute before ~ but go perfect in your booth (wish i could visit) xoxo, tracie
ReplyDeleteYour boxes are fabulous too! I also love the picture of the kitchen. I am wanting to paint my cabinets white. Then, sometime in the far future we are planning on redoing our kitchen to open it up a bit. I love simple country kitchens.
ReplyDeleteYay for clearance aisles, and thrift stores, and yard sales and... Another cute redo, Christie. I didn't realize you still had your booth. I need to do some catching up on what's been going on in your life! ;)
