The herb box was found in the little coastal town of Southport, NC. I covered the pots with different kinds of moss and wedged a little bird's nest in the middle. As the tulips died down, I changed them out with different potted plants. I love maiden hair ferns, because they are a little messy...kind of like my kitchen drawers!

Hi Christie...
ReplyDeleteSo very nice to have you for Sunday Favorties this week, my friend! Ohhh...and I remember this fabulous post! I thought your herb box with all those beautiful plants was simply breathtaking! I'm so glad that you reposted this...gave me the chance to see the "pretty" once again! Girlfriend, you're probably tired of hearing me say it but I just can't help myself...I adore your old farm table! The old herb box just looks fabulous with it! Ohhh...love those pretty tulips and that little nest of sweet birds!!! I'm going to be keeping my eyes out for a similar box...I think it makes a gorgeous table centerpiece! Thank you so much for sharing it with us for Sunday Favorites, my friend! A real treat!!!
I read your sweet note! I just giggled when I read what you wrote about comparing the mountains of NC to the Rockies. When I lived in south Texas, we would go up to the Hill Country around Austin. They really do have some pretty mountains around there...but in comparison to the Rockies...they really are just hills! Hehe! It sounds like you have some wonderful and precious memories of your trips to Colorado! I hope that your family makes it out here some day soon!!!
Warmest autumn wishes,

ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower! & would love to have you come visit my blog and link a post to Cottage Flora Thursday's....xoox
ReplyDeleteThe combination of plants in that wonderful wooden box made a beautiful arrangement, Christie. I'm already missing all the flowers around my cottage. It looks so gray and drab around here. Can't wait for spring to spring forth! I'm actually starting to see the tips of my daffodils peeking through. YIPPEE!
